The Iola Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Covid-19 Safe  Winter Wonderland Snow Globe on the downtown Iola Square! Santa will be safely meeting and talking with kids inside the Snow Globe Barrier. Kids can get pictures next to the Snow Globe and get drop off their letters to Santa in his personal North Pole Mailbox. Masks will be required. Colony's Annual Christmas Parade will be held on Dec. 5th starting at 6:30 pm. Parade line up will start at the Elevator at 6:00pm. This years theme is "Celebrate The Joy of Giving". For questions or entries call or text 620-228-3527 or 620-363-1861

Fredonia Chamber is hosting a Christmas Cruise Night, Sat. Dec 5th starting at 6:30 pm. Prizes will be awarded for best decorated cars, trucks and floats. Line up at 6:00pm on the south side of the G&W parking lot to enter the contest. (Cruise participants must ride inside their vehicles. The Annual Downtown Iola Christmas Block Party is Friday, Dec 11th from 4:00p - 7:30p around the Downtown Iola Square. Shop the downtown merchants and visit all downtown businesses as they will be open late. Shoppers can also participate in the Walk The Block Punch Card Drawing. The grand prize for the drawing is several gift cards and more. Santa will also be making appearance on the square.

City Of Iola Recreation Dept. would like to invite Recreation participants and their families to Breakfast with Santa! This year they'll be set-up drive-thru style on the southeast side of the Recreation Building on Saturday, Dec. 12th from 8:00a - 10:00a. A pre-packaged breakfast of muffins and juice will be bagged and ready to go!
