Hoops For Hope – Chanute

Neosho County Community College and their Retired-Senior Volunteer Program have teamed up with Hope Unlimited emergency shelter in Iola to hold a collection drive that will go to help families in need in Neosho, Allen, Woodson, and Anderson Counties.

Collection boxes are placed around campus now to collect paper products, non-perishable food and snacks, and toiletries.  Items in particular need are papers towels, 13 gallon kitchen trash bags, gallon ziplocs, boxes of cereal, toilet paper, canned meats, fruit juice, boxed and packaged food, canned soup, vegetables, fruit, staples, cleaning supplies, personal and hygiene items.

The collection drive will end on Wed. Jan 23rd.  Prior to the NCCC Basketball games from 4:00-5:30, an information booth will be in the Student Union lobby for visitors to ask Hope Unlimited questions and to donate needed items.
